About us
Mission
We drive vocational education and training and mobility as tools for real cooperation between Europe and Africa.
We work with institutions, training centres and companies to design programmes that respond to concrete labour market needs
— not projects that end when the funding does, but skills that stay.

To be a lasting bridge between vocational training systems across continents: an actor that doesn’t just implement projects, but builds presence, institutional trust and local teams wherever it works
— and keeps opening the way to new geographies.

Areas of expertise
01
Building international partnerships
We connect institutions, training centres, public authorities and companies from different countries, and help them turn a first contact into a partnership that works: shared goals, clear roles and lasting trust. We coordinate the partnership, while each partner brings the technical knowledge of their field.
02
Writing, coordinating and communicating
We take ideas from the first concept note to the final report. We write competitive proposals for European and international funding, coordinate delivery and reporting, and communicate results so they reach the right audiences. Partners focus on the content while we keep the project on track.
03
Developing internationalisation strategies
Internationalisation works best as a plan, not a collection of one-off activities. We help educational institutions define why, where and how they want to work internationally: setting priorities, mapping partners and programmes, and designing a realistic roadmap.
04
Capacity building from real needs
We start from the end: the skills, jobs and results that an institution or labour market actually needs. Working backwards from that goal, we bring together the partners and experts who can design the right training and tools. We coordinate the process, and our partners provide the technical content, so institutions are left with capabilities they can sustain on their own.
Journey
(our history within Mundus Group)
01
The origins: the R&D engine
We were born within Mundus Group managing Erasmus+ KA2 projects, closely tied to European vocational training and to hosting placements. From the start, we were the space where the group experimented with new formats of mobility and educational cooperation.
02
2019: the turn towards Africa
We are the coordinators of SAAM, a large-scale pilot funded by the European Commission to test VET mobility between Africa and Europe. The project is a success and positions us as a reference in intercontinental mobility — we stop being “just another European actor” and become a real bridge between two systems.
03
Specialisation: capacity building in Africa
From there we develop our own line of work strengthening VET capacity in West Africa, with projects spanning diverse fields — renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and other strategic sectors. It’s no longer just about mobility: it’s about strengthening training systems from within.
04
2025: the leap into international cooperation
With PACTE we take a different step: a TEI OP-VET project (Global Gateway), carrying far more institutional and diplomatic weight than a traditional Erasmus+ project. We’re no longer just managing an educational project — we’re taking part in real international cooperation, with a direct presence in Côte d’Ivoire.
05
Today: permanent presence, new horizons
We now have staff hired locally in Abidjan, and we’re working to bring this model of cooperation to new geographies.
Where we are based
Zaragoza, Spain
Our core team is based in Zaragoza, Spain — where Mundus NGO’s story began, and where we coordinate projects, partnerships and communications across every country we work in. As our network of local teams grows, Zaragoza stays the anchor: the place that connects each delegation to the rest of the group.

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire isn’t just another project for Mundus NGO: it’s where we have a permanent presence. Since 2025, we’ve had our own team on the ground — we don’t manage this cooperation remotely, we build it from within.
Flagship project: PACTE
PACTE (Programme d’Action pour les Compétences en Transition Énergétique) is our flagship project in the country: a TEI OP-VET co-funded by the European Union under the Global Gateway initiative and by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). PACTE aims to strengthen skills in the fields of solar energy and energy efficiency in Côte d’Ivoire, by aligning vocational training systems with labour market needs and fostering collaboration between training institutions and businesses.
